Saying goodbye :(

May

What an incredible trip it's been. The final few days have been filled with plenty of highs and lows--challenges to us physically and mentally. On Tuesday we woke up super early--3:30! We had to make it to Massada so that we could climb it in time to see the sunrise. It was incredibly tough but we all did it together and the sunrise was something we won't soon forget. We spent the next few hours on top of the mountain learning about the incredible history of the fortress and the heroic Jews who lived there.

Exploring the Negev

Hey folks!

It's been another breathtaking few days here in Israel. We had an incredible Shabbat where we prayed and explored our Judaism together and had a delicious Friday night dinner. On Saturday we got to sleep in and finally catch up on some rest :) During the rest of the day we hung out at the pool and played capture he flag. It was so much fun! Shabbat ended with Havdallah, which we learned means separation. This service marks the difference between Shabbat and the rest of the week. It was absolutely incredible to have this service overlooking the hills of Jerusalem!

Shabbat Shalom everyone!

Sorry about the delays with the last post. We were having some internet issues but it's all taken care of now. It's a good thing too, because we've had an incredible few days since you last heard from us! First we went to Independence Hall in Tel Aviv, where we learned all about the history of the city and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We heard all about the secrecy around the signing and how important it was for the Jewish people to finally have a home.

Hi everyone!
It's been a great couple of days. We started yesterday by hiking the Gilabun in the North, which was challenging but fun! We saw a lot of different nature, and a lot of other Birthright groups. It was beautiful and it finally sank in that we were in another country. We had a beautiful hike over the river with some helpers and it was incredible.

Hi everyone sand welcome to our blog!

We landed in Tel Aviv yesterday after a couple of long flights. We were so excited to meet our Israeli friends and we jumped around with them in the airport and screamed about being brothers, and how happy we were to finally were to be together and start our adventure. We got on the bus and headed to Caesarea, where he had our first photo op, got to touch the water, and opened our week together.
