This morning we woke up bright and early after spending the night in the Bedouin tents in the hot desert in preparation for our group camel rides. At 7:30 we paired up and hopped on our camels for a trot around the desert and some antistatic photo ops. Before we left the Bedouin tents, we ate one last authentic meal of homemade lavash and then hopped on the buses to begin our day of outdoor adventures.

The Shorashim 47 have made it safely to the Negev desert.
It has been an amazing trip so far, filled with history, tradition, fun and feelings.

Shalom!! We are all here, happy, and though slightly sleep deprived after 15 hours of travel through NY, Kiev and Tel Aviv, ready to have an amazing adventure!

As the old saying goes, “First Impressions last a lifetime.” At this point, we can only hope that this is true. Because, as a direct result of your fantastic abilities as parents, we are a group of 47 incredibly interesting, ridiculously intelligent, and just plain wonderful people that plan on being friends for THE REST OF OUR LIVES!

In addition, Israel isn’t so bad either!
