Day 3 | Shorashim - Israel with Israelis

Day 3

Shalom once again!

Today was a jam-packed day of adventures. After breakfast, we boarded the bus and Chiam (our bus driver!) took us to Mt. Arbel. We were dropped off at the top of the HUGE mountain and after enjoying the breath-taking view with our new found friends, we began the trip down the mountain where Chiam awaited our arrival. This was no ordinary hike, as we not only climbed down, but were assisted by metal handles that were placed into the giant rocks. During the hike, we were pleasently surprised to have stumbled upon a cave! The perfect photo-op stalled us for a bit, but soon enough we were on our way again. After two hot and physically challenging hours, we made it to the bottom! The bus was quickly boarded and we made our way to the historic town of Tzfat. We were able to explore two ancient synogouges as well as shop and hear from an American artist who moved to Israel and discovered a passion for Kabbalah. After a truly moving day, we once again boarded bus 113 and headed back to the Kibbutz for dinner and a night filled with Israeli history and some good old fashion bonding.

We could not imagine things getting any better than this, however, tomorrow we head to the infamous city of Tel Aviv, and who knows what things are in store for us there.

Everyone is happy, healthy, and loving the Holy Land Life. We will blog again soon!
