Day 9: Winding Down
Today we started off our day waking up in Jeruslem and we had a day in front of us. Our first stop of the day was Har Herzl which is Israel's version of Arlington Semitary in Washington D.C. It was a experience where some of Israli solider friends shared stories and experince of people they knew.
After a morning with lots of sorrow we then went to Ben Yehuda for lunch and shopping. It was a amazing view where I got to barter and walk around a awesome energy in the streeet. The food as usuall was amazing with my shurama.
With a great lunch in our bellies and gifts bought we moved back to the hotel and participated in a very emotional Kabbalat Shabbat. We sang, rejoiced, and prayed together and reflected on epic week we hav had together. we moved our Jeruslem shabbat experience to two differnt shuls in the city. Some of us went to a Sephardic shul and others had the option to goto a Carlebach shul. I went to the Sephardic shul which was the traditional prayer you typically think of when you think of religous Jews. The split sex service and the fast pace Hebrew. It was a unique experince that a lot of the tradition is the same from the stats.
We got back to hotel and participated in games and exchanged gifts in a blind pick and it was a amazing closure to a beautiful shabbat with 49 people that I have come to love in the past 10 days!!!!
