Day Two: The Real Day One, part 1

Shalom! Ah'halahn! Yesterday was as expected--overwhelming excitement masked with sleep-deprived faces smiling despite travel exhaustion. But we are here and the group couldn't be more excited! My name is Dan Levine and I am one fourth of the madrachim for bus 439. This is my seventh trip as a madrich (and 9th bus!). Today we are driving through the Hula Valley towards Jila Bun for a morning of hiking. The group has thus far been very impressed by the cows on the side of the road. All in good time and their minds will be blown with the gorgeous environs we're about to enter them into. While this is a hike the other madrachim and I have all done many times before, we share in our students' excitement and their energy is amping us all! There is a good vibe going around and I'm comforted knowing it will guide our trip well. Dan "It's not an experience if they can't bring someone along..."

Dan, thank you for leading the group. A hike sounds like a good way to start.
I will look forward to reading your daily posts.
Thank you again, Rachel Youdelman, Brookline MA (Hanna Negami's mother)

Dan:
Thanks for the post! Have a great time - so excited for you all. Might there be any pictures posted for us parents!?!?

Best,
