Update 2: Delta Flight Cancellation Washington D.C. Groups 248 and 249

Update 2:
 
An email was just sent to all of the parents  (whose emails were included in their child's application) with all of the participants' new flight information both international and domestic. If you did not receive the email, please contact: sharna@shorashim.org and it will be sent to you.  
 
 
 
Update:
Dear parents, Delta is placing all of the participants on different flights tonight (Israel time) on different airlines. Also, Delta is now taking care of all connecting flights, whether or not the original domestic tickets were booked on Delta.

Due to a mechanical issue, Delta canceled its flight from Tel Aviv to JFK on Thursday evening. As of 11 a.m. EST, July 2, Delta has said the flight will depart on Saturday, July 3. Unfortunately, Delta has provided no more information. Shorashim will be receiving an update tomorrow morning  at which time we will post the exact flight details. If we have the information sooner, we will post it then.
 
Shorashim has been informed that Delta will honor all domestic Delta flights. They have not agreed to honor other domestic airline tickets. Delta has paid for the participants to stay at the Leonardo Plaza in Tel Aviv.
