Golan Heights
6:45 was my first sight this morning, it was time to start our day. With a 7:15 breakfast and a loaded schedule there was no time to waste.
We ate a quick meal and hopped the bus to Golan Heights.
Once we arrived we got right to it, a two and a half hour hike was ahead, this one being more challenging than our opening hike on Friday. New landscapes, animals, and plants were all at our fingertips. As a group we marched together till we reached our oasis, the waterfall.
We quickly threw on our baithingsuits and the hour and a half, 85 degree weather made the dip all worth it. Shortly after we visited a lookout atop of the heights at Mt. Bental. Our soliers and tourguide Ori gave us a perspective of border affairs and the Israeli persepective and political standpoints.
After, we cleaned up and headed back to the bus; it was time to travel to our second of the four holy cities, Tzvat. This is where we got to explore the synoaguages of Tzvat and more about Jewish life in Israel. We capped off our night with laughs and activity in the Israeli Olympics which our lovely soldiers put together. Team Zion came from behind in a 76-72 point victory versus team Israel.
Tomorrow we leave the Kibbutz and head to Haifa and Tel Aviv. Can't wait!
