An Israeli's Perspective...
Hi. My name is Linor Carmi, I'm 21 years old. I live in Yehud and I am participating in Taglit-Birthright from May 3-13. I serve in the army as a 2nd liutenant in the Navy. This project (Taglit), in my opinion, is very important because the Americans are learning about Israel and the complicated situation we have here and how we handle it -- espcially when you are in the military.
We have a very good group. It is very nice to get together and learn about each others culture. I think it's very important because we are all Jews. As long as we keep doing Taglit, we'll keep the unity of the Jews all over the world and that's what makes us strong.
While I'm 21 and in the military, the American people have already finished (or are getting close to finishing) their degree at that age and so they look at life differently. It's very special and it's very nice to share each other's experiences.
I will miss everyone when they leave, and everyone is invited to come visit Yehud.
- Linor
