Taglit-Birthright Israel participants help rehabilitate JNF Forest after Major Fires
A burnt forest is not a pleasant sight to see, but that is exactly what greeted a Taglit-Birthright Israel: Shorashim/JNF group from the U.S. on Tuesday, July 6, when they went to work in a forest near Beit Shemesh in the Lower Judean Plain where a major forest fire broke out during the last week of June, destroying 300,000 trees in over 3,000 dunams (750 acres) of man-planted forests and natural woodlands.
October Taglit-Birthright Israel trips
For the second year, Shorashim is offering Taglit-Birthright Israel trips in October. This year we are offering two dates: October 18-28 and October 24 – November 3.

When will I find out if I am assigned to a trip this summer?
You registered in February and all you want to know is when you will be assigned to a trip!
Shorashim assigns trips when Taglit-Birthright Israel gives us the green light. However, these are the approximate dates that you will know by. For the June, July and August dates, the notification may be earlier.
For trips departing in:
May: March 22
June: April 9
July: May 7
August: June 10
