Our First Day in Israel
Today was a very exciting day for us. We started the day with a five mile hike through Zavitan in Golan Heights. We have never experienced hiking through the rocks, and rough terrain.
Although the weather was very hot, we had the luxury of swimming in a refreshing pool of water. After we were done with our hike, we made our way to view the border of Syria and Israel at Mt. Bental. We learned about the war in Syria and the relationship between Syria and Israel. The views were amazing and we were able to see some great scenery.
The last stop of the day was Ofir Lookout which is where we were able to overlook the Sea of Galilee and the mountain of Arbel. This scenery was breathtaking.
We are extremely grateful for the amazing staff and seven Israelis that have joined us on this journey. We are looking forward to all of the amazing experiences to come on this trip!
