Kishorit and Tzfat
It was a rainy morning when Team Mensch packed up and boarded the bus to explore the Northern part of Israel. Our first stop of the day was Kishorit, a converted kibbutz for people with physical, emotional, and mental challenges. This community was awesome! The residents not only live on the premises, they have many opportunities to work on site in very cool jobs! Some options include Kishorit's organic egg farm and wooden toy factory. Residents can also help raise and take care of their award winning Schnausers.
After Kishorit, the group had worked up an appetite and were in the mood for some lunch! Team Mensch took over a local restaurant in Tzfat, our next stop of the day. Participants had their choice of schwarma or falafel. No one left feeling hungry, that's for sure!
Walking through Tzfat was AMAZING! This is truly a mystical town with so much beauty and history. Our group enjoyed the opportunity to visit the artist community and check out a candle making shop.
Then it was off to our new home for the next two nights, Kibbutz Nofey Gonen.
