Rock Band

Besides the exciting elements of a typical Taglit-Birthright Israel: Shorashim trip, participants on Rock Band will travel with  North American and Israeli participants who have experience playing in or writing music for an ensemble. Participants will be divided into groups based on talent, instrument (including voice), and musical choice in order to create ensembles for the trip. Each ensemble – through dedicated workshop and rehearsal time will create an (original) piece of music to be performed in a final performance at a professional musical venue.

• Meeting with Israeli composers and performers of popular contemporary music.
• A live show, with backstage access in one of Tel Aviv’s preeminent music venues.
• Regular rehearsal and writing workshop time.
• A final performance.
