Shabbat, Tzfat and Tel Aviv | Shorashim - Israel with Israelis

Shabbat, Tzfat and Tel Aviv

We made sure we used the day of rest to its fullest. With a later start and recreational activities throughout the day, we got to know one another much better and catch up on rest for our big week. After closing Shabbat, we had the opportunity to explore and eat dinner in the city of Tiberias. We got back and knowing that they next morning started early, most of us relaxed on the kibbutz and headed to bed at a decent hour.
The day started at 7am as we checked out of the kibbutz and headed to the holy city of Tzfat. Learning much of the history from Avraham Lowenthan and visiting historical sites, our understanding of the state of Israel grew even more. We picked up some souvenirs and then traveled to Tel Aviv. We visited the site of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. With its significance in mind, we walked the beaches of Tel Aviv to the much older city of Jaffa.

Pictures to come tomorrow...
