Sun in Tel Aviv, awe in Jerusalem

Waking up in Tel Aviv was a big change as compared to the first part of our journey. We were used to waking up to rain, but the sun was shining instead. We got to take a stroll along the beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery on our way to Old Jaffa. After, we made a stop at Rabin Square to learn about Israel’s former Prime Minister. We had lunch shortly after, some people had burgers, some chose sushi, while the rest stuck with the Israeli cuisine. Our next destination was to Jerusalem to explore the things people usually only hear about in books and movies. Our first stop in Jerusalem was the view at Armon Hanatziv, which showed most of the city. The view was surreal. We then headed to the Jewish quarter of Old Jerusalem to walk around and see the sights. Everyone prepared for the view of the Western Wall by holding hands and walking backwards to the viewpoint and turning around together to take in the astonishing site in front of us. It was a moment we will never forget. Even more special for many of us was the moment we were able to stand next to the Western Wall and leave a personal note. This is just halfway through the trip, many more memories are to come.
