Day #1 - Kadima!

After taking planes, trains, and automobiles, and a quick stop in Munich, we have arrived in Israel! We have been on the ground for 24 hours and it's amazing to think of how much we have done already.

We landed at Ben Gurion and were met by our amazing guide, Neitsan, and the seven Israeli soldiers that will be with us for the next 10 days! As we exited with ALL of our luggage, they greeted us with posters, balloons, and singing. Then we all joined in the traditional Shorashim song/dance of Achim! It was such a great way to be welcomed to Israel!

We hopped on our bus and started driving North to the Golan Heights. We saw the Kinneret and the Jordan border, and headed to our Kibbutz, Afik. After an official orientation and some fun ice breakers, we were absolutely exhausted and called it a day. Day 1: Complete!

Today, day 2, we just climbed Jilaboon and had an absolutely amazing swim in the waterfall! The water was so cold and refreshing, it gave us the energy we needed to do the rest of the climb.

After a quick stop for our first falafel and shwarma, we're hitting the road for our next activity! It's amazing how much the group has bonded in a short 24 hours. Between flights, ice breakers, meals, and hikes, we're already forming a really close bond.
