We went to a candle museum and Oh My Goodness I took so many pictures and now I want to learn to make candles. :) The rafting trip we took in the afternoon was super fun! We floated down the perfect-temperature river in the perfect-temperature shade, looking at pretty birds and trying not to run into the plants on either bank. After that, we went to an olive oil factory!

The hike had some amazing views, but was also very rocky. There was no way we could miss the beautiful wildflowers, impressive cliffs, and adorable turtle that we saw on our hike!

Hiking and seeing the beautiful scenery was my favorite part of today. I can't wait for the beach tomorrow!

At night, we said some prayers and sang as a group to end Shabbat, and then we went to visit Ben Yehuda street, which Shirly described as the "State Street of Jerusalem." This street is lined with many shops and restaurants, and is very lively at night. I had the best falafel of my life at Moshiko, where a lot of the group went to grab dinner. Some people had to wait over a half hour in line for food, but it was definitely worth it. :)

All together this experience has been incredibly rewarding whether we are traveling to Tel Aviv by bus or hiking our way down to a natural spring. My only wish is for the days to go by slower! We cant wait to see whats in store for tomorrow!

Today was our first Shabbat in Israel!  Following breakfast, we spent a few hours together as a group reading the Torah portion for the week. It was a great way to kick off Shabbat as a group!

Today was a very enjoyable day up in the north of Israel. It is tough to properly describe how amazing this sight was and how in awe our group was of this view. In all, Birthright has been unbelievably fun so far and my only expectation is that it will only get better!

Following our discussion, we boarded the bus and began drifting down the Jordan River. To me, this was the highlight of the day.  While the water was a little cold, and everyone insisted on splashing around, the time we spent on the raft talking and laughing as a new group is something I will remember forever.
