Har Herzl | Page 2 | Shorashim - Israel with Israelis

Ten days ago we were strangers, acquaintances, or small groups of friends at best. After what was without a doubt, the most impactful 10 consecutive days of our lives, we are proud to call each other a family. We are bound together by our common experience, our journey through Israel, that has led us to an appreciation of this country where none of us live. We expected to learn and experience but we didn't expect to connect the way we did.

Those who rest at Mt. Herzl are the embodiment of this unbreakable Israeli spirit that I have had the pleasure of experiencing the last 10 days. They live on through the people of Israel and will never be forgotten.

After sharing about our experiences, it was apparent that we had an amazing experience that can never be recreated, but we have created amazing connections with one another and with Israel that will keep us bonded far beyond today.

We all spoke about our favorite parts of the trip and what we are taking away from the trip. We are sad to go back home tomorrow, but what we experienced together will forever stay with us. It will be extremely difficult to say goodbye to our Israeli friends, but our friendships willl last a lifetime.
