Before entering the city, we passed through King David's tomb and how the city was built layer upon layer. In what felt like a renactment of Aladdin, we twisted and turned through Jerusalems narrow alleys, finally entering the Old City.

The light air reminded me of the sweet Jerusalem breeze I had felt just a few days prior. Upon our arrival in Jerusalem we returned to the shuk, this time far more crowded, bustling with people busily trying to get everything prepared in time for the sabbath

After a meaningful morning, we went to the shuk (market) on Ben Yehuda street and got a taste of the busy environment right before Shabbat. We sampled Israeli pastries, drank fresh squeezed juice and picked up souvenirs.

Yesterday,we went to two exciting companies in Jerusalum, Voiceitt and OrCam. Voiceitt is working on apps to help people with impaired speech, motor disorders, and degenerative conditions by empowering them to communicate. They have two projects, talkitt and moveitt: talkitt takes in impaired speech and outputs coherent speech and moveitt allows users to move a curser using their voice. OrCam developed a camera device that can be attached to glasses that allows blind and visually impaired to "see".

"I felt at home even though I was in a different country. I felt comfortable with people I had just met only five days ago."

After the discussion we finally entered the square where the Western Wall is located. It was such a powerful sight to see not only all the Bar/Bat Mitzvah trips, but also all the people that were there for a chance to touch the wall for even a second.

"While hiking through the Golan Heights, we happened upon the most breathtakingly beautiful waterfall and we just had to stop for a swim. I hope to share many more memorable experiences with all of you and I know that we will stay this close for the rest of our lives."
