Day 3: Hiking Down Mt. Arbel, Artists and Rabbis, The Beauty of Tzafat | Shorashim - Israel with Israelis

Day 3: Hiking Down Mt. Arbel, Artists and Rabbis, The Beauty of Tzafat

Today breakfast was even earlier, 7 a.m. We got breakfast like usual and were on the bus by 7:45 heading to Mt. Arbel (on the west side of the Sea of Galilee). The mountain was beautiful overlooking the entire Galilee region. We were able to see across the entire sea of Galilee into the Golan Heights (even though it was a bit foggy). At the peak of Mt. Arbel there was a memorial plaque commemorating a special forces soldier with a special song about his legendary charisma and persona as he died a hero fighting for Israel. Pictures will be posted in order for you to understand how truly amazing the sight was looking off the mountain. Our group headed down the mountain (which was a much harder hike than the Golan Heights). There is one part in particular that is very steep and requires some skill and maneuvering (pics will be uploaded). After we made it down that part we all sighed and Michal said “kol hakavod” which means good job. Afterwards we boarded bus 161 and headed to Tzefat the city of Jewish art and spirituality. We visited a “miracle” synagogue and discussed Kabballah. We met up with one of the most interesting and interiorizing men I’ve ever witnessed, a man named Avraham. A man who is well-in tune with his spiritual side, pleaded us to begin to understand Kabballah on a much deeper level. I will attach a video for this as well, because it is best that you hear it from him. He said that it is a miracle that we are here for even oneeeeeeeee moment, it is awesomeeeeeeeee that we are all here after thousands of years. We are on our way to a lookout and will post more blog entries in the days to come.
