Today by far was the most amazing day... hiking the Gilaboon.
Today by far was the most amazing day I have had on this trip so far. We as a group, well more like a family now, hiked through the Gilaboon.
I Love to experience new things and challenge myself on new adventures. I Have done many outdoor activites before but this was the most exciting, vigorous and challenging one that I am so proud to say that I accomplished it. It took us about an hour to hike down to the waterfall that had a natural pool where we saw another shorashim group enjoying themselves as well. It was so beautiful, it was defintely a picture taking moment.
The hike down to the water took about an hour and half but it felt like forever. Some were faster than others but we worked as a team and helped each other out. Like crossing over the streams with wobbly rocks and branches or when someone couldnt get themselves over a rock, there was someone always lending a helping hand, we definetly have team work. Swimming in the natural pool was asweome. The water was cold at first but felt amazing after we all sweat our butts off, burning all those calories and working every muscle in our bodies. A bunch of us swam over to the waterfall and just enjoyed the pounding water fall onto us, it was great. And to top it off our hike back up the mountain was only 20 minutes, thank God because we were all so exhausted.
It was a great day to just take in what we were actaully doing and the scenery because it was a beautiful site and an amazing experience.
