A real connection, A fantastic Hike, and Olive Oil!

I hadn’t really thought much about what to expect from this trip so I packed up everything I needed and headed to the airport with not a thought in my mind. It wasn’t until we stepped off the plane in Israel was I consumed with pride. That pride only continues to fill my heart as we proceed throughout the trip. Walking through the city of Jerusalem made me feel connected to my people historical, culturally, and spiritually. The old city was truly breathtaking, being at the western wall made me feel more connected to my faith and people. As I placed my wish in the wall I felt a sense of comfort in relation to my religion.
This morning we hiked Gilabun trail to one of the natures best kept secrets. After some intense rock climbing we were led to a waterfall. I have never seen such beauty in nature with my own eyes-being typical tourists we took tons of pictures, however, I find it hard to believe that a picture will do justice to what was seen.
Later in the afternoon we stopped off at an olive oil manufacturer where we really got to experience the true taste of olive oil. Not only were we able to the tour the grounds but we were offered to try all of the products- olive oil not just for cooking! We were exposed to the different ways that olive oil can naturally heal and treat the skin., it truly was a unique experience and an amazing day!
