Impressions from an Israeli soldier participant

My first day on birth right.
Well, I slept for 2 hours at night, packed my suitcase with the most unnecessary things possible, got to the airport and started to dance and sing like an embarrassing weirdo, and eventually found myself sitting in a bus full of Americans I’ve never met. Needless to say I was feeling totally misplaced!!
Slowly, one by one I began my journey of learning all your names. First I met Zoe and Ariel, beautiful blue eyed sisters, which were the first names I learned- hence unforgettable. Then I started to get to know Ali, which I chose to sit next to. Then came double A Aaron, double D Todd, Crazy Hair Josh, Multi-Lingual Daniella, Russian Eugeene, Ukrainian Costa, Oreo Lorry, Kedrin, Alex, Allison and Ben. All these names I learned on my first day here, which I think is an awesome achievement. I might win the contest for name remembering!!
Today we went to the Majrasi stream. It wasn’t a long hike but it was definitely unforgettable! The walk was under trees and in shallow water. I was walking with Allison when suddenly we hear screaming and yelling like crazy from behind! Like a huge bunch of people going crazy and getting closer and closer to us. At last we notice the source of the yelling- About 40 kids splashing water everywhere and coming towards us. We tried to escape but eventually everyone got hit by the crazy pack of kids that water-fought all of us. Every single part of my body was dripping water! I could take buckets of water out of my ears.
All and all it was a funny experience that everyone will probably never forget.
The best part of the trip was when we got to the inn and I got to hang out and talk to many people and laugh so much, like I haven’t laughed in a long time.
Im beginning to connect with a lot of people here and that is just so exciting for me.
A great day, of effort and results. Im so glad I have 9 more days to spend here!
So may we have an AWSOME trip and a fruitful birthright to all!
Peace and love J … Healla
