Day 3 - What a Day! | Shorashim - Israel with Israelis

Day 3 - What a Day!

Day 3

Today we started off by taking a beautiful hike through Mount Arbel. It took us 2 hours to climb down the whole mountain. After the hike we traveled to one of the Jewish holy cities, Tzfat. The first thing we saw in Tzfat was the citadel. The citadel is the highest point in the city. On Jerusalem St, we ate lunch and enjoyed the culture of the city. After lunch we were able to observe different synagogues where we learned about their services and architecture. We then went shopping in the artist colony. One of the stores we went to was a candle shop. At the shop they taught us how to make candles. It was unbelievable! After Tzfat we went to the only conservative Kibbutz in Israel. Our tour guide was British, and I liked his glasses. Did you know that their cows make milk for Magnum ice cream! We then took an adventure to our bus driver’s house. He is a Bedouin Israeli. We learned all about his culture. His wife served us amazing snacks. They treated us as if we were family. They were such nice people with the cutest kids. We then returned to our Kibbutz where we ate dinner. Later for our evening activity Omer’s parents came to speak to us about their experience in the army. We watched an uplifting video. And now we (Nicole, Mel, Melissa, Mark, Alex, and Henry the Mosquito-RIP) are writing this wonderful blog for you to read (Hi Mommies) BYE!
