Salad Trail

By Danielle Greenfield

We just left the salad trail, which was delicious. First, we had all sorts of herbs and smelled thyme, oregano, curry, and spinach. Then, we tasted various mints and even added them to our water. We even ate a flower - it was surprisingly very spicy. Next was the cherry tomato area - blondie, chocolate, zebra and red, of course. Lindsay ate a habenero pepper. We picked them all fresh from the vines. Next, were strawberries, which grow from hanging baskets. The berries were perfectly chilled, with a perfect taste without being mushy. The next activity was a maze through the passion fruit maze followed by picking carrots. We pulled orange, white, yellow and purple carrots straight from the ground. They were bitter, but fresh! We ended the tour with tea, iced coffee, passion fruit smoothie, and bread dipped in olive oil and za'atar. We took a group photo and at the count of three, the founder turned on the sprinkler.
