Taglit means Discovery | Shorashim - Israel with Israelis

Taglit means Discovery

Taglit literally means Discovery and that is my wish for the Shorashim 30-323 Birthright group! In just five days we will be embarking on a wonderful journey together and I'm going to be staffing the trip! So to kick off our groups Blog, I wanted to just write a few words so that everyone can get to know me a little bit better.

Get excited and take a minute to get to know me: My name is Shoshana Gibbor, and I work at MIT and Wellesley College, as the Birthright and Israel Engagement Coordinator. I'm originally from NJ, and still have that Jersey girl accent, with a twinge of Long Island (Lawnguyland) pronunciation, since I attended Hofstra University as an Undergrad, and Monmouth Univ. as a Graduate student. I studied psychology, community health and dance at Hofstra and went for my M.S. In Mental Health Counseling at Monmouth Univ. Some of my favorite Israel-related things: hiking in the Golan Heights, eating sabich, Fridays in Jerusalem, and swimming in the Dead, Med, and Red Seas. I love staffing Birthright trips, and am so excited to meet all of you!
