Visiting Boston's Sister City: Haifa

We travelled to Haifa to visit the Gabriele school where we gave them new gym equipment that was bought from money raised by a funraiser this year at Northeastern. The school taught some of the poorest kids in Haifa, yet they had really high spirits when we came to visit. We had a chance to play with the children and the new equipment as well as play bingo and have a dance party with them. Saying goodbye to the kids was hard but we continued on to a shook in old Jaffa, Tel Aviv. Here we ate delicious shwarmas and fallafals and mint lemonade while others shopped in the fresh produce market. After lunch we travelled to Yitzahk Rabin square where we learned of the sadness of loosing a innovative prime minster at the hand of one of their own. Finally, we had a fun night out in Tel Aviv where our Israeli friends showed us the night life culture of Israel.
