Eilat or not

By Jordan Winston

What did you do today?
Today we went to mount Tzfachot for a long morning hike. While we hiked we took stops to admire the landscapes and learn about the history of Israel. To refresh and cool off we then went to a beach off of the Red Sea. With beautiful views we swam and played beach frisbee.

What was your favorite part of the day and why?
My favorite part of the day was the hike up mount Tzfachot. We learned so much about our culture and history.

What's something new that you learned or something that you tried for the first time?
On one of our breaks during the hike we learned about plate tectonics. It was fascinating. I learned that you can actually see the northern coast of Eilat at the same time that you can see Jordan. This is geologically cool (lol) because Jordan is on the Arabian plate in the east and Israel is on the sinai plate on the west.

What was the best thing you ate today and where did you get it?
We had breakfast at the kibbutz which was fun and authentic. Eating vegetables instead of fruit for breakfast was different, but we liked it!

What are you looking forward to tomorrow?
I'm looking forward to riding a camel in the dessert!
