The Old New City | Shorashim - Israel with Israelis

The Old New City

We are still in disbelief that we are actually in Israel. You would think that the annoyingly long travel times would have done it, but every time we look out the bus windows, we are in awe.

Israel has a beauty that we'd thought had been lost with time. The city of Jaffa contains such powerful history which allowed for the state of Israel to be born. The energy felt walking, and even standing on the streets contains the ancient wisdom of this year who walked before us.

From Jaffa, we saw the Tel Aviv shoreline surrounded by the gorgeous shades of blue of the Mediterranean Sea. The water was rough but warm, making the relaxing afternoon at the beach we all wanted, a bit more like sport.

After the beach, we made our way to our hotel for the night. When we opened the doors to our rooms, we realized we would have to be creative to fit all our bulky bags in at once. We're proud of our success! Once we finished dinner, we headed across the street for a private concert with Udi Krauss. He played a few popular songs along with some from his band.

We said goodbye to him and headed into town for our night out. The free time was appreciated after a few very long days. All in all our time in Tel Aviv was short, but amazing.
